League format : Switzerland : Super League 2025/2026
The Super League is the highest football competition in Switzerland. In a first phase all 12 teams play each other three times each, for a total of 33 matchdays. Following that, the league is split into two groups of six, one championship group and one relegation group. Each team will play every other team in their group one time, for a total of 38 matchdays.
The top two teams in the Swiss Super League enter the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League. The lowest-placed team will be directly relegated, while the 11th-placed club will be sent to a relegation playoff.
