Gary Trent Jr. has agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks after exploring free agency and potential sign-and-trade opportunities. Wembanyama signs five-year, $252m extension with Spurs

11.7.26 San Antonio Spurs: Transfers

Victor Wembanyama has agreed to a five-year, $252 million rookie-scale maximum contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs, including a player option in the final season. By choosing the 25% maximum instead of the larger supermax structure, Wembanyama gives the Spurs greater financial flexibility to build a championship contender while committing his long-term future to the franchise.

Kawhi Leonard trade delayed pending NBA investigation

10.7.26 Los Angeles Clippers: Transfers

The trade sending Kawhi Leonard from the LA Clippers to the Toronto Raptors has been put on hold until the NBA completes its investigation into allegations that the Clippers circumvented the salary cap. The Raptors declined to assume any potential penalties tied to Leonard's contract, opting to wait for the league's findings. The investigation centers on whether Leonard received improper compensation through an endorsement deal with Aspiration, allegations the Clippers deny.

Warriors decline to match Grizzlies' offer sheet for Post

9.7.26 Golden State Warriors: Transfers

The Golden State Warriors will not match the Memphis Grizzlies' three-year, $30 million offer sheet for restricted free agent center Quinten Post, allowing him to leave after one season. The deal's structure, including incentives that increase its salary cap impact, made it too costly for the Warriors, who already added veteran centers Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis in free agency.

Brunson undergoes wrist surgery

8.7.26 New York Knicks: Injuries

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson underwent surgery on his left wrist after playing through the injury during the team's championship run. The NBA Finals MVP is expected to resume basketball activities later this summer. Brunson averaged 32.6 points in the Finals, including a 45-point performance in the title-clinching game, as he helped lead the Knicks to their first NBA championship in 53 years.

Butler aims to finish career with Warriors

28.6.26 Golden State Warriors: Injuries

Jimmy Butler says he expects to return stronger than ever from his ACL injury and hopes to retire with the Warriors. While his recovery is progressing steadily, he is still months away from a return and is unlikely to be back until around midseason. Entering the final year of his contract, Butler acknowledged trade speculation but said he remains focused on helping Golden State contend.
