9.7.26 Lille: Transfers

Lille have completed the signing of Turkish attacker Basar Onal from NEC Nijmegen on a four-year contract. The 22-year-old arrives after a productive season in the Netherlands, where he recorded nine goals and nine assists in 34 appearances, and is expected to develop into a larger role on Lille's left side.

Forward Eliezer Mayenda has completed a move from Sunderland to Rennes, signing a contract with the French club until 2031. The 21-year-old leaves after scoring two goals in 20 appearances for Sunderland last season and will look to earn a bigger role at Rennes, where he faces competition for a starting spot.

Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Khalis Merah is expected to miss around a month after suffering a sprained ankle in a training collision. The 19-year-old could be unavailable for Lyon's Champions League third qualifying round first leg in early August. The injury is a setback for the promising French Under-20 international, who impressed with 32 first-team appearances last season and is under contract with the club until 2029.

Lens have signed midfielder Michael Cuisance from Hertha for a reported €5 million, with the 26-year-old agreeing to a four-year contract through 2030. The former Marseille player becomes Lens' first summer signing under coach Dino Toppmoller and is expected to replace Adrien Thomasson in midfield as the club prepares for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Diogo Sousa has completed a transfer from Vitoria to Strasbourg Alsace, signing a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side. The Portugal Under-21 international emerged from Vitoria's academy and became a key player last season. The transfer fee is reported to be around €10 million. Strasbourg remain without a head coach following the departure of Gary O'Neil to Ipswich Town, but the club is expected to appoint a new manager within the next 10 days.
