PSV agree €14 million deal for Sven Mijnans

PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement to sign midfielder Sven Mijnans from AZ Alkmaar for €14 million. The 25-year-old is expected to complete a medical before signing a five-year contract, adding to PSV's squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Ajax sign Caio Henrique from Monaco

Ajax have signed Brazilian left-back Caio Henrique from Monaco on a contract until June 2030, with financial details undisclosed. Ilyes Hamache has completed a permanent move from Schalke 04 to Cambuur for an undisclosed fee. Hamache made 11 appearances for Schalke after joining from Valenciennes in 2024.
Charles Vanhoutte leaves Nice to join Feyenoord

Belgian midfielder Charles Vanhoutte has completed a permanent transfer from Nice to Feyenoord after spending just one season in France. Vanhoutte joined Nice from Union Saint-Gilloise last summer for €6 million and initially impressed under coach Franck Haise. However, his influence declined as the season progressed, and he eventually lost his key role.

League format : Netherlands : First Division 2026/2027
There are two professional football leagues in the Netherlands, the First Division (Eredivisie) and the Second Division (Eerste or Gouden Gids Divisie). The Dutch First Division consists of 18 teams. Each team faces every other team twice during the season, once at home and once away.
At the end of the campaign, the top two teams in the Dutch First Division automatically advances to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, while the 3rd plays the qualifying rounds to enter the competition.
At the foot of the table, the 17th and 18th placed teams are automatically relegated to the Second Division. The 16th-placed club in the First Division have to play promotion/relegation playoff (Nacompetitie).
